Ah, the ‘Three Card Spread’ for spiritual guidance… I have always been a very busy and multi passionate woman. I have many interests, therefore I usually have 20 plates in the air at any given time. So when I need guidance from Spirit, I want it to be quick and as simple as possible.

The three card spread is a practical way to quickly and accurately answer my questions, with the flip of three divination cards.

The following method will work with any Tarot cards, Runes, Stones or Oracle Cards.

You should know that as much as I love Tarot, I prefer working with Oracle cards, mainly because the messages from Spirit are clear, direct, and not left up to interpretation.

Practice Makes Perfect!

If you feel that you’re not proficient at divination… remember this – practice makes perfect.

The more you do something, the more comfortable you become and things are always awkward before they’re elegant!

Every Tarot or Oracle deck comes with a companion book that explains how to interpret each card logically.

How To Do A Three Card Spread For Quick Guidance From Spirit

There are many Three Card Spreads to choose from, but since I want to keep things applicable to the present moment, I usually work with – Yesterday/Today/Tomorrow

1. First decide your question and which three card spread you’ll be working with. As I mentioned, I usually choose the  “yesterday, today, tomorrow” three card spread because I don’t use divination for fortune telling, I strictly use divination for daily divine guidance in my daily life. What needs to be in my awareness in and around the present moment.
2. Next shuffle the deck and ask your cards to – “show me what I need to know?”.
3. Lay out three cards/runes/stones (etc.) in a horizontal row, just like in the photo.
