Dark Night Of The Soul
In every woman’s life there are defining moments… moments that bring you to your emotional knees and usher you into the darkness … a dark night of the soul.
My heartfelt wish is that you’ve never experienced such a time… but I know that’s highly unlikely.
As for me… well, I have journeyed to the Dark Goddess many times over the course of my life.
Each devastating experience ripped me of all that I knew and forced me to strip away my layers, get out of my own way by taking a look at my limiting beliefs and rebuild my life from the inside- out.
Believe it or not, this is not a solemn or grim article… nope.
A dark night of the soul can be a powerful catalyst for transformation, if you allow yourself to receive the life lesson and divine wisdom that’s attempting to come through.
So my lovely reader, I want you to turn that frown upside down and grab your ear buds!
I’m gifting you with a downloadable mp3 recording of my chapter from the Amazon International Best Selling Book Embracing Your Authentic Self of which I am a co-author.
I’m honored and so very proud to be a part of this incredible book along side 26 other extraordinary and courageous women, many of whom I now call friend and soul sister.
In my chapter, entitled Broken Up – I share the story surrounding the heartbreak I suffered giving birth to a child with a physical birth defect thirteen years ago, the demise of a rock solid ten-year marriage and my personal journey to the Dark Goddess and subsequent self-discovery, transformation and triumph.
I hope this recording helps you get to know me even better and see how I used alchemy to transform heartbreak into hell yeah!

I’m a voracious reader, but I often don’t remember the details of a story, but rather the feeling it gave me. In the case of your story, Broken Up, I remember BOTH because they were so amazing and inspiring.
I know SO many women will be helped by you sharing your story — thank you SO much for sharing it!
Awe Stacey, thank YOU my super friend. I think the biggest complement one can give a writer is that their story was memorable and impactful… I am bliss-filled.
Every time that I have let go of whatever was not serving me—a marriage, jobs, things I believed about myself—I became stronger in the light that is able to shine through me. So, yes, It’s definitely not grim!
YES LAURIE!!! Letting go of what no longer serves is one of the key’s to empowerment and liberation!
Looking forward to listening to this!
Enjoy Darla!
Wow, just wow. Powerful story, and I’m so grateful that you shared it.

I need to re-read that story. I’ve had quite a few dark nights of the soul this past month. Your words give me courage and inspire me to pick myself up and move on.
You are stronger than you believe dear Mary… sending you love, compassion and courage for the inner work that’s ahead of you Sister.
I love the concept of going to the dark goddess…well…not the actually going there…but the reference. So true that it can be a catalyst for great things. Thanks for sharing your story.
You’re most welcome Jane. The Dark Goddess and I… we’ve become great friends! I always leave her realm transformed.
I so agree, I think that most people who have soared in their lives went through darkness, it is through overcoming the unimaginable and feeling the intolerable, that we grow into our magnificence. Thank you for telling your story.
You’re so welcome Rachel. I’m so glad you resonated with my story…
