Earth Day is a global celebration for Mother Earth that falls annually on April 22nd!

I personally celebrate Earth Day every day because the opportunities for honoring our Great Mother are endless.

In my world recycling EVERYTHING and ANYTHING is an absolute must; paper, plastic, metal and “stuff”… I attempt to recycle items that I no longer need or want by placing them out on my front lawn with a sign that says “FREE TO THE RIGHT HOME”.

I’ve placed my sons outgrown bicycles, planters and other big items in new homes, keeping them out of landfills – I highly recommend you try it!

Ways You Contribute And Honor The Earth

You can join a community spring cleanup, join a community garden, research organic lawn care (that’s what I just did), find out where your local Farmer’s Markets will be opening (and shop at them), compost, hatch beneficial insects on your property for natural pest control (I have praying mantis everywhere due to my dedication to hatching their eggs every year), stop purchasing bottled water and use a refillable stainless steel travel cup, etc.

There are so many ideas on how you can make one small change in the right direction!

The size of your shift in lifestyle doesn’t matter, every little way you can conserve our natural resources helps…

May there be Beauty around me.
